  Innovative Government Solutions (IGS) Joint Venture (JV) has been awarded 1 of 25 spots on the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Systems Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI) Small Business (SB) Pool, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle.  

  The $7.5 billion vehicle provides IGS JV with a 10-year runway to research, design, develop, integrate, and optimize Information Technology (IT) capabilities and solutions for various agencies within the Department of Defense (DoD). IGS JV is very proud to use its prowess in engineering and technological advancement in support of our nation`s warfighters.  

  IGS JV is an All Small Mentor Protégé Program (ASMPP) JV formed between LightGrid, LLC (LightGrid), a Historically Underutilized Zone (HUBZone) SB, and its large business mentor, Trace Systems Inc. When asked about their partnership, LightGrid CEO Dean Miroulis, commented:

• Press Release: LightGrid, LLC is Selected as the Small Business Participant on the 2020 AFCEA TechNet CMMC Panel. (Nov 27, 2020)

  Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA). –LightGrid, LLC (LightGrid) will serve as a Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) panelist during the Armed Forces Communication and Electronics Association`s (AFCEA`s) virtual TechNet Cyber convention on December 1, 2020. The Department of Defense (DoD) has mandated that its defense contractors implement unified, DoD approved, cybersecurity hygiene practices by 2025. The panel will cover the requisites of the CMMC mandate and its significant impact upon the defense industry.

  The Defense Information System Agency`s (DISA`s) Major General Garret S. Yee will moderate four CMMC panelists who represent the government and both large and small business including: Sara Crabtree (LightGrid), Kemal Piskin (LinQuest Corporation), Chris Newborn (Defense Acquisition University [DAU]), and JenniLynn Bushby (DISA). The discussion will highlight the importance of cybersecurity measures throughout all supply chain management lifecycles, address industry concerns about subsequent audits, and inform the audience on how to prepare for the upcoming requirements.

  “Keeping our Information Technology (IT) networks secure from our adversaries is an area which impacts the military, government and industry alike,” said Sara Crabtree, LightGrid`s Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Director of Contracts.  “I'm excited to be a representative of the small business community and to share what LightGrid has done to meet the requirements of NIST SP 800-171 and to prepare for our CMMC audit.
