As vice president for the defense agencies segment of the defense group at Perspecta, Chris Kemp builds trusted relationships with our Department of Defense (DOD) partners by ensuring the delivery of exceptional information technology services that always exceed our customer’s expectations.

Kemp is an operationally focused, ethics-based leader with proven results in leading complex technical projects and large teams in dynamic environments. He devotes his more than 34 years of experience in IT, telecommunications and cybersecurity to solving the most demanding information-related challenges in support of our nation’s security. His expertise centers on CIO / CISO strategic planning, process improvement, program management, capture and business development.

A former director of DISA’s Defense Enterprise Computing Center (DECC), Kemp established a pre-production development and operations program. This program, along with the information assurance and security activities he led, directly supported warfighters’ needs on a global level.
Kemp is a retired U.S. Army brigadier general. During his military service, he served at every level of command. His career culminated as the commander of the Army’s only deployable Theater Signal Command. Kemp was forward deployed multiple times, serving as a staff principal for the Third Army and as the commander of a signal brigade in Afghanistan and a Theater Signal Command in Kuwait.

He holds ITIL, PMP and Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certifications, as well as Information Technology Program Management and Chief Information Officer certifications from the National Defense University. Kemp earned a bachelor’s in criminal justice and a master’s in public administration from Troy University. His coursework through the U.S. Army includes a master’s in strategic studies from the War College.
