As the Chief Finance Officer and Director of Contracts at LightGrid, LLC, Sara Crabtree brings almost 20 years of experience to her position. Before joining LightGrid’s financial team, Sara was a Senior Manager in the Government Contractor Services Division of a national public accounting firm, and she has served as the business operations manager of a technology solutions provider to the Department of Defense and other federal customers. With almost two decades of government contracting experience, Sara is considered a subject matter expert in financial and contractual matters in the GovCon industry.
Sara has a Bachelor of Science from Old Dominion University where she double majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. In addition to her undergraduate degree, Sara has earned a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Old Dominion University. Furthermore, she holds a Paralegal Certificate from Old Dominion as well as a Master’s Certificate in Contract Management from Villanova University.
Sara’s areas of expertise include, but are not limited to, government contracts and compliance requirements under the Federal Acquisitions Regulation (FAR), project budget development support and analysis, as well as pricing and proposals and contract management. Sara is also responsible for leading LightGrid’s GovCon Consulting division which provides business consulting services to other government contractors.
