"Dr. Kevin Harris has more than 25 years of experience in the information technology field with industry positions ranging from Systems Analyst to Chief Information Officer. His career encompasses diverse experiences in industry and academia. During this time, he developed cross functional teams implementing solutions to effectively address business challenges through innovation and security. As a higher education administration official, he continues to make system improvements to support student success and learning. As a faculty member, he has delivered instruction in several disciplines including business, cybersecurity, computer science, and computer networking, with particular interest in information security and computer forensics.

The positive impact of technology in the career of Dr. Kevin Harris inspired his mission of ensuring benefits of education and technology advancements can be embraced by all. Inclusivity in the tech sector is critical from both a moral standpoint as well as increasing the workforce pipeline.

He continues to support diversification by serving as Board Chair for Nashville General Hospital Congregational Health and Educational Network (CHEN), supporting technology outreach with the Urban League of Middle Tennessee and serving as President of MidSouth Cyversity Chapter. He also has been able to support diverse student populations at various types of institutions including community colleges, HBCUs, public, private, graduate, undergraduate, as well as online.

He is passionate about implementing ways to bridge the digital divide especially among underserved populations. His consulting and research areas include minorities/women in technology, cyberbullying prevention, information security, and business consultation/training."
