Profile

Mr. Charles J. Wille is Chief, DCO-IDM Performance Reporting and Analysis Branch, assigned to the Analysis & Reporting Division of the Joint Force Headquarters - Department of Defense Information Network (JFHQ-DODIN) Readiness & Security Inspections (DRSI). He serves as the subject matter expert on all matters pertaining to cyber inspection data model transformation, directorate business processes and systems, and inspection cyber analysis products for United States Cyber Command (USCYBERCOM) and Joint Force Headquarters-DODIN (JFHQ-DODIN). DRSI supports JFHQ-DODIN Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) by conducting Command Cyber Readiness Inspections (CCRI) and next generation Command Cyber Operational Readiness Inspections (CCORI) contributing to DODIN mission assurance and mission assurance for Combatant Commands, Service Cyber Components, and federal Agencies operating on the DODIN.

DRSI conducts Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Assessments for USCYBERCOM as the General Service CSSP Authorizing Official Authority and DOD Chief Information Officer (CIO) as the CSSP Program Office. Additionally, DRSI conducts independent Audits on behalf of the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Program Management Office (PMO) on DOD and National Security Systems (NSS) where Mr. Wille is certified as an audit team lead and certified auditor since 2015.

Prior to this role, Mr. Wille served as the information technology team lead for Defense Information Systems Agency enterprise financial systems and Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for appropriated systems and enterprise financial reporting and analytics; in this role he has successfully lead numerous business process re-engineering projects to optimize processes and integrate data. From 2006 to 2008 he served as a Systems Analyst for an Enterprise Resource Planning system which accounted for all of the Department of Defense petroleum product inventory and sales.

Commissioned in 2012 as a graduate of the Academy of Military Science, Mr. Wille is currently a Captain in the Maryland Air National Guard, United States Air Force. He served his first 12 years as an enlisted logistician with a specialization in logistics and inventory control systems and finished as a Senior Non-commissioned officer prior to receiving his commission. He is currently assigned as the Unit Commander of the 175th Aircraft Maintenance Operations, Baltimore Maryland. He has served in multiple named operations to include Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, and Operation INHERENT RESOLVE. He has earned numerous military awards to include Air Force Commendation Medal, Air Force Achievement Medal with 3 Oak Leaf Clusters, Maryland Meritorious Service Medal, and the Maryland Commendation Medal.

Mr. Wille holds numerous certifications to include Certified Information Systems Security Professional, Certified Ethical Hacker, EC-Council Certified Security Analyst, among others. He has earned Master of Science in Government Information Leadership from National Defense University, College of Information and Cyberspace, Chief Information Officer Federal Executive Competencies from CIO University, Washington D.C., and a Bachelor’s of Science from Excelsior College, New York.
