Jeffrey E. Baker is a highly experienced and accomplished professional in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Logistics, and Defense. As the Chief Enterprise Architect, Jeff is dedicated to delivering data and AI services to the DoW. His role is crucial in accelerating the adoption of AI within the Department of War, enabling decision advantage across all warfighting domains.
With 29 years of military service in the Army, Jeff brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role. Having served in tactical, operational, and strategic leadership positions in the Army and U.S. European Command, Jeff has a deep understanding of the needs and challenges faced by the warfighter community. Jeff joined SAIC from his last role in the Army as the Director of the Army’s Artificial Intelligence Integration Center (AI2C).
During his time in the Army, Jeff served as a Tank (Armor) Platoon Leader, a Maintenance Officer, a Multi-functional Logistics Officer, a Strategic Planner, a Battalion Commander, an instructor at the Army War College, and the Director of the Army’s Artificial Intelligence Integration Center.
Throughout his career, Jeff has been recognized as a thought leader and has made significant contributions to the advancement of leadership, strategy, defense management, and change management in large organizations.
Jeff holds a B.S. from the U.S. Military Academy in Aerospace Engineering and is a graduate of the U.S Army’s War College. He holds M.A. degrees in Strategic Studies as well as Organizational Leadership. He holds a Ph.D. in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. In addition, he is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and a Demonstrated Master Logistician (DML) by the International Society of Logistics (SOLE).
