Profile

Dan Lawn is a Senior Sales Director inside of Lumen's Strategic Government Markets group. He manages a team of dedicated personnel in Europe, the Pacific, and the U.S., where he oversees sales and marketing to the Defense Information Systems Agency.

Lumen has a diverse product portfolio of services with DISA and the DoD, including, but not limited to, Dark Fiber, Private Line, Internet and VPN, Voice including TDM and VoIP, CPE, and Professional Services. Government contracts include EIS, NETWORX, WITS III, DITCO BA, Schedule 70, Alliant 2, and various customer-specific vehicles. Lumen supports DISA in CONUS, Europe, the Pacific, and southwest Asia.

In previous positions as a Program Manager at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) and later, as the Navy Account Manager at MCI and Verizon, Mr. Lawn played key roles in developing and deploying several large-scale U.S. Government communications networks.

Prior to his twenty-plus years supporting the DoD in a civilian capacity, Mr. Lawn served a fouryear enlistment in the United States Marine Corps, where he served on the Marine Detachment (MARDET), USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69), and later as an infantryman in the 1st Battalion / 7th Marines.

Mr. Lawn holds a B.S. in Management Information Systems (MIS) from George Mason University. He's originally from Buffalo N.Y. but currently resides in Northern Virginia with his wife of 23 years and two teenage children.
