Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Clifton David Bass (prefer David), hails from Sumrall, Mississippi, where he enlisted in the U.S. Army as a Network Switching Systems Operator/Maintainer (31F) in 1997. He served as a Non-Commissioned Officer prior to selection into Officer Candidate School where he earned his commission as a Second Lieutenant of Signal on 23 September 2002.

LTC Bass has served in a multitude of positions from platoon to Unified Combatant Command level. He is currently the Deputy Chief Information Officer and Deputy G6 for America’s 1st Corps. His assignment history includes Chief Information Officer and G6 for 7th Infantry Division, U.S. Indo-Pacific Command Deputy Division Chief, INDOPACOM J6 Plans & Exercises Branch Chief, U.S. Army Central G6-Iraqi Desk Officer, Division Deputy G6, Brigade S3 - Future Operations Officer-In-Charge, Brigade Signal Officer (S6) twice, Battalion Executive Officer, Battalion Signal Officer (S6), Rear Detachment Company Commander, Company Executive Officer, and Platoon Leader.

LTC Bass’s military education and schooling includes the Signal Pre-Command Course, Intermediate Level Education, Battalion/Brigade Signal Officer Course, Information Technology Infrastructure Library Foundation Course, Project Managers Orientation Course, Information Officer Course, Signal Officer Basic and Advanced Courses.

LTC Bass holds a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University, Master of Science in Sports Management from American Military University, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Science (History) from Campbell University.

His awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (7 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Commendation (3 Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (4 Oak Leaf Clusters), Joint Meritorious Unit Award (2 Oak Leaf Clusters), Army Good Conduct Medal (2), Korea Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon (6 Oak Leaf Clusters), NATO Medal and Parachutist Badge.

LTC Bass is married to Chief Warrant Officer Four Retired (CW4), Jennifer Bass of San Marcos, Texas and they have one son, Noah (7).
