CMSgt Ricardo Cabezas serves as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Director of Command, Control, Communications, and Cyber (J6) U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. on matters concerning operational readiness and personnel management, fostering an environment that enhances morale and professional growth while aligning with the command’s strategic objectives for 449 Joint Military, civilians and contractors. He guides, optimizes, and oversees Combatant Command Headquarters cyber activities, ensuring that strategic objectives are met while managing a $78 million budget dedicated to Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) capabilities that support over 380,000 warfighters, delivering combat capabilities to the Combatant Commander.
Chief Master Sergeant Cabezas entered the Air Force in September 2001. He graduated from the Telephone Maintenance course at Sheppard AFB in 2002. Since then, he has performed many duties in the communications and cyber systems career field. He has held numerous leadership positions including Flight Chief, Plans and Programs, Operations and Squadron Superintendent, Chief Watch Officer for CENTCOM HQ, and Deputy MAJCOM Functional Manager for Pacific Air Forces. His assignments include Offutt AFB, Nebraska, Eielson AFB, Alaska, Hill Air Force Base, Utah, the Nevada Test and Training Range, and HQ PACAF, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. He has deployed in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM, IRAQI FREEDOM, and FREEDOM SENTINEL.
Prior to assuming his current position, he served as deputy MAJCOM Functional Manager and Senior Enlisted Leader for Pacific Air Forces, Cyberspace Directorate.
