WO1 Eaker is from El Paso, TX where he joined the Army as a Signal Support Systems Specialist in 2009. He attended Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, Georgia. Upon completion of training, he was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 25U, Signal Support Systems Specialist. Later in his career, he was also awarded the secondary MOS 79R, Army Recruiter, and the primary MOS 25D, Cyber Network Defender. In May of 2021, he was inducted into the Warrant Officer Cohort and subsequently earned the WOMOS of 255S, Information Protection Technician in December of the same year. WO1 Eaker has served in a wide variety of assignments and duty positions during his time in service, including Radio Retransmissions Operator for 1-17th Field Artillery Battalion and Retransmissions Team Chief for 258th Network Support Company in Fort Sill, OK, DA Selected Recruiter for Cape Girardeau Recruiting Company, Section Chief for the 2-12th Field Artillery Battalion in Fort Carson, CO, where he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, and Senior Cyber Network Defense Analyst for the 101st Airborne Division G-6 in Fort Campbell, KY. He currently serves as the Cyber Defense Warrant Officer for the 17th Field Artillery Brigade S-6. WO1 Eaker graduated from Eaker Christian Academy, his registered home school in El Paso, Texas, and holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Post University of Waterbury, Connecticut. His certifications include CompTIA Network Plus, CompTIA Security Plus, Global Information Assurance Certified (GIAC) Security Leadership, GIAC Systems and Network Auditor, GIAC Continuous Monitoring Professional, GIAC Security Essentials, GIAC Incident Handler, GIAC Intrusion Analyst, GIAC Critical Controls Certification, GIAC Unix Security Administrator, and GIAC Enterprise Defender. WO1 Eaker is currently attending the Master of Science in Cybersecurity program at the University of Charleston, West Virginia. His military education includes the Senior Leadership Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Basic Leadership Course, Army Recruiter Course, Air Assault School, Tactical Network Management and Communications Course, and the Unit Armorer course. WO1 Eaker’s awards include the Army Commendation Medal with C Device (4OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (6OLC), the Meritorious Unit Commendation, the Army Superior Unit Award, the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with Bronze Star Device, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with numeral 3, the Army Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Non-Article 5 North Atlantic Treaty Organization Medal. He has earned the Air Assault badge and Army Recruiter Identification badge. He is married to Kameron Eaker and they have one child, Evelynn (2).
