Profile

COL Lisa D. Whittaker joined the United States Army Pacific Command team as the Deputy Chief of Staff, G6 in August 2019. She is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point. COL Whittaker holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Operations Research and a Master of Business Administration degree in Information Security from James Madison University.

Prior to the assignment as the USARPAC G6, she commanded the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Global Field Command (DG) headquartered at Scott Air Force Base, IL with subordinate units located throughout the United States. COL Whittaker also commanded Orion, the Department of Defense’s (DoD) largest Cyberspace Operations Center where she was responsible for the daily operations of the Secretary of Defense’s top cyber defensive capability known as the Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS).

COL Whittaker has served in various leadership positions ranging from Platoon Leader to Brigade Commander. Her previous assignments include: Deputy G6 for 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. While assigned to the 101st Airborne Division, she deployed to Bagram, Afghanistan where she served as the Combined Joint Task Force 101 Deputy Director CJ6 for Operation Enduring Freedom IX. Upon redeployment, COL Whittaker was assigned to the Joint Staff J-6 Command, Control, Communications and Computers Assessments Division (C4AD) in Suffolk, Virginia where she served as the Deputy Branch Chief for the Future Capability Assessments Branch. COL Whittaker served as Commander, 78th Signal Battalion, headquartered at Camp Zama, Japan followed by an assignment as the United States Army Europe G6 Operations, Plans, and Exercises Division Chief. Prior to taking command of DISA Global Operations Command, COL Whittaker attended the National Security Agency Cyber Fellowship for Senior Service College and served as a Cyber Technical Director for the United States Army Cyber Command in Ft Meade Maryland.

COL Whittaker’s military schools include Air Assault, Airborne, the Signal Officer Basic Course, the USMC Command and Control Systems Course, the Combined Arms Service Support School, the Command and General Staff College and the Senior Service College.
