Profile

Colonel Jeffrey M. Erickson hails from Renton, Washington. He received a B.S. in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy and was commissioned as an armor officer in 1993.

COL Erickson served in a variety of armor assignments and locations including the Republic of Korea; Ft. Lewis, WA; Ft. Riley, KS; and Hohenfels, Germany.

As an Army Simulation Operations Officer (FA57), he has served as G3 Exercises, 4th Infantry Division (Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) 05-07 and OIF 07-09); Chief of the General Technology Support Division and Deputy Director of the Test Technology Directorate, U.S. Army Operational Test Command (Ft. Hood, TX); and lead for the Army’s Mission Command Training Support Program, Headquarters, Department of the Army, G-3/5/7 Training. He most recently served as the Chief, Environmental Operations Division, Joint Training, Joint Staff J7 where he provided technical enablers to every combatant command and the Joint Staff in support of joint training.

He is currently assigned as the Chief of Staff for the Army Cyber Institute at West Point, the Army’s “Think Tank” for cyber related issues.

He has a M.S. in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy and a M.S. in Management Information Systems from Bowie State University.
