Profile
Joe Maurio is a senior professional staff and leader of the chief scientist team in the Critical Infrastructure Protection Group in the Asymmetric Operations Sector of the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Applied Physics Lab (APL). Mr. Maurio has been the principal investigator on multiple research projects developing innovative technologies for resilient cyber physical systems. Prior to joining APL, Mr. Maurio was a Fellow Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation where he worked on power system and instrumentation and control system design and development for naval applications as well as commercial electric utilities. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Electrical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. He is the recipient of eight US patents.
