Scott Gustafson is Vice President, Mission Success, for Lockheed Martin Space, one of four corporate business areas with annual revenues of approximately $9.5B. He leads the Mission Success organization that is responsible for independently assessing the integrity of LM Space products and for conducting audits of statutory, regulatory and command media compliance. The organization works collaboratively across the portfolio of civil, commercial and National Security Space satellite and missile programs to ensure that these systems are designed, built and will perform as intended to fully meet, and exceed, customer expectations. In this role, Mr. Gustafson reports directly to Mr. Rick Ambrose, Executive Vice President, Lockheed Martin Space.

Prior to joining LM Space, Scott spent 31 years at The Aerospace Corporation, a Department of Defense Federally Funded Research and Development Center. Over this tenure, his work spanned the breadth of National Security Space satellite and launch programs. Most recently, Mr. Gustafson served as the General Manager for the portfolio of MILSATCOM programs including Advanced EHF, Wideband Global SATCOM, and the Enhanced Polar System, in addition to numerous sustainment, international, and future programs. Scott previously served as the General Manager of the Overhead Persistent Infra-Red (OPIR) portfolio, most notably including the Space Based Infra-Red System program and the Defense Support Program. Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions as the Space Radar program manager and chief engineer, and AFSATCOM program manager.
