Profile
Lt Col Joe Tringe has been assigned to the USAF Space Command’s Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) since 2016. There he is working to assess potential resiliency, performance and cost advantages for the latest generation of commercial communications satellites being considered for military missions, in context with dedicated military space-based assets. He is working to establish new analysis processes that can be effective for addressing complex issues associated with large communications satellite constellations, such as risk associated with cyber and electromagnetic threats. Lt Col Tringe’s prior assignments were at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and the Space Vehicles Directorate of the Air Force Research Laboratory.
