Profile

After serving in the U.S. Air Force, Rob Hankinson joined the Department of State as a Program Manager for the Information Resource Management Bureau in March 2007. Since then, he has led a number of different programs, namely, PKI and PIV. He also served as the IIB Branch Chief in the Systems Integrity Division overseeing the Department’s first enterprise Identity and Access Management solution.

Rob has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and is a Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM). Additionally, Rob is the 2017 Frank Rowlett award runner-up, an award given by to the National Security Agency for making significant contributions to the improvement in security of national information systems.
