Timothy Cleland, MD, MSE is the President and Founder of Retina Biometrix, LLC.
Dr. Cleland received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at Buffalo before completing his Master of Science Degree in Biomedical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Following graduation, he worked for two years as a Product Planner for Motorola in the CMOS Logic Division. Dr. Cleland then graduated from Texas Tech University Health Science Center School of Medicine, after which he completed an internship in internal medicine and a residency in ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Cleland completed his medical training in New Orleans with a fellowship in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous at the Ochsner Clinic. Dr. Cleland is a board-certified vitreoretinal surgeon and serves as President of Retina Associates of South Texas, PA. Dr. Cleland has been selected as one of the Best Doctors in America® every year since 2005. Outside of work, Dr. Cleland enjoys traveling and spending time with his wife and two children.
