Joe Stuntz is currently the Director of Federal & Platform at Virtru focused on solving secure information-sharing challenges through encryption and attribute-based access control. With experience leading programs and teams in both federal and commercial organizations, Joe has expertise in helping organizations manage security while enabling mission success. He has held leadership roles in an identity and security advisory firm and the White House Office of Management and Budget - Office of the Federal CIO working with the Federal CISO on government-wide cybersecurity and identity management programs and policy development. Prior to that as a Federal contractor, Joe spent time at NIST working on the Cybersecurity Framework and identity management standards and at DoD-CIO working on identity policy and implementation strategies. Joe holds an MBA in Strategy and Finance from Georgetown University and completed graduate work on Identity Management at the Naval Postgraduate School.
