Profile

James Ogletree is the Vice President of the Cyber Operations Business Unit, in support of the Cyber Mission sector of Peraton. James is responsible for the strategy and execution of Cyber and Information Operations programs in support of DoD. As Business Unit Vice President for Cyber Operations, James has responsibility for Cyber strategy development and execution, program performance, and growth. James maintains profit-loss accountability on his $380M / year portfolio, a $4.8B capture pipeline, and continues to grow his portfolio of contracts exceeding $3.2B in contract awards during his tenure.


Prior to his current role, James spent nineteen years at Northrop Grumman leading a variety of organizations to include the Maritime Combat Systems and C2 Services Operating Unit, and the Cyber Warfare Operating Unit, directing all operations of the organization in alignment with C2 and Cyber strategies and objectives, including long-range strategic planning and overall program performance across the portfolio. Prior to that, James managed the Navy-Marine Corps Cyber Solutions department, and was the program manager for the Marine Corps Network Operations and Security Center Cyber Defense Program. Prior to joining Northrop Grumman in 2002, James served as a communications officer and civil affairs officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and he is currently a lieutenant colonel in the Marine Corps Reserve.


James earned a master’s degree in business administration from Marymount University. He also earned a bachelor’s degree in history and a master’s degree in telecommunications from George Mason University, as well as a graduate certificate in Information Security Management from the University of Virginia. James is also a graduate of the Marine Corps Command and Staff Course.


James resides in Fairfax City VA, with his wife and three children.
