Ellery (Don) DeSanto is the director of DoD AI, Cloud & Cyber programs for the Defense Intelligence business at BAE Systems, Inc. In this role, he is responsible for program execution, financial performance, strategy development and execution, customer relationship management, and new business growth. Don has over 25 years of business and technology leadership experience working in the military, U.S. Intelligence Community, Defense Industry, and commercial startups.

Prior to this role, Don served as the Director of Strategic Partnerships for the Intelligence & Security sector, shaping the growth strategy for the company’s entire AI and Cloud services enterprise. He has more than 20 years in a variety of roles, including as Solutions Architect, Vice President of Operations, and Vice President of Worldwide Sales Engineering within the government IT services market. Don’s technical specialties include architecture, cross-domain solutions, cybersecurity, enterprise IT network engineering, routing, switching, Unix, and virtualization. He also has a proven track record of leveraging his technical specialties and experience to drive business development, forge strategic business partnerships, foster customer engagement, and manage/execute large-scale product and service deliveries and training.

Before joining BAE Systems, Don served just under nine years in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologic Technician, supporting the Space Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).
