Tara L. McAdoo of Alexander City, Alabama, entered the United States Army 16 June 1988. She attended Basic Training at Fort Jackson South Carolina and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA. In 1994, she was selected for Warrant Officer Candidate School. Upon graduation from WOBC at Fort Gordon, GA, she was assigned to the 659th Maintenance Company, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, where she served as an Electronic Maintenance Technician. Tara L. McAdoo served as the Battalion Maintenance Officer for the 41st Signal Battalion, Seoul Korea where her Maintenance Program was runner up for the Department of the Army Maintenance of Excellence Award. She was assigned to B-Co 7/159th Aviation Battalion, Giebelstadt Germany where she served as the Blackhawk /Chinook AVIM Avionics Technician and the Rear Detachment Commander. Tara served as the Chief of the Warrant Officer Division (948B) Ordnance Missile and Electronics Maintenance School, Fort Gordon, Georgia. Tara L. McAdoo retired from the Army in 2009 after 21 years of faithful service to the Ordnance Corps and the United States Army.

Tara L. McAdoo deployments include Saudi Arabia, Nicaragua, and Afghanistan.

In 2009 Tara L. McAdoo entered the Acquisition Career Field for the Mission Installation Contracting Command on Fort Gordon where she has served as a Contract Specialist, Contracting Officer, Procurement Analyst, Mission Support Division Chief, Installation Support Division Chief, Chief of Business Operations and currently serves as the Director.
Tara L. McAdoo holds a Master of Arts in Procurement and Acquisitions Management, Webster University, Saint Louis, Missouri; a Master of Business Administration from the University of Colorado, Colorado Spring, and bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Campbell University, Buies Creek, North Carolina.

Tara resides in Evans Georgia with her husband Darryl McAdoo. She has three children Makayla, Darius, and Darion.
