Profile

Colonel Gary Brock is the Army Capability Manager for Electronic Warfare at Fort Gordon, GA. He was commissioned into the U.S. Army from The University of Alabama in 1998. He is a graduate of the Ordnance Officer Basic and Advanced Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Command and General Staff College, Joint Planners Course, Support Operations Course, School of Advanced Military Studies, and the U.S. Navy War College. 

Prior to his arrival and Fort Gordon, he was the Director of the Cyberspace Operations Integrated Planning Element CENTCOM (COIPE-CENT) at MacDill Air Force Base. His previous assignments include Future Operations DCO and Mission Assurance Branch Chief for US Army Cyber Command, Combined Joint Forces Land Component Command – Iraq (CJFLCC-I), where he served as Deputy Chief of Plans (J5) for the Iraq Counter-ISIS task force and the G5 for the 82nd Airborne Division. He also served in various roles to include service as Patriot Battery Executive Officer in 2/1 Air Defense Artillery Battalion, Maintenance Support Officer and Platoon Leader in 178th Maintenance Company Fort Bliss, Texas; Support Company Commander, 1/20th Special Forces Group, Assistant Professor of Military Science, University of Alabama; Assistant G-3, 167th Theater Sustainment Command, Birmingham, Alabama; Assistant Brigade S-3, 82nd Sustainment Brigade, Executive Officer, 82nd Brigade Troops Battalion, G35 Plans, XVIII Airborne Corps, Deputy G5, G5, Chief of Plans, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina. He has deployed to Afghanistan and Iraq.
