A native of Los Angeles, California, CSM Delia Quintero entered the United States Army on 21 January 1992. Her basic training was at Fort Jackson, SC and her advance individual training was at Fort Gordon, GA where she was awarded the MOS 25L, a Wire Systems Installer and Maintainer.

Her awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Commendation Medal with one silver Oak Leaf Cluster, the Army Achievement Medal with five Oak Leaf Clusters, the National Defense Service Medal with two Bronze Star; Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with four Bronze Stars, the Iraq Campaign Medal with two Bronze Stars, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, four NCO Professional Development Ribbons, the Army Service Ribbon, five Overseas service ribbons, the NATO Medal, the Combat Action Badge, the Master Parachutist Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.
CSM Quintero is also a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club (SAMC), earning membership in 2000; a member of the honorable Signal Corps Regimental’s Bronze Order of Mercury, earning membership since 2004; a member of the 82nd Airborne Division All American Centurion, earning membership in 2013 and is a Distinguished Member of the 508th Infantry Parachute Regiment, inducted in 2014.
Her military education includes Warrior Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Airborne School, Air Assault School, Jumpmaster School, Sergeants Major Course (Class 61); Instructor Training Course and Advanced Platform Instruction. CSM Quintero holds an Associate’s Degree in Administration Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Science with a focus in Psychology.
CSM Quintero has two daughters, Jazmine (19) and Delicia (15).
