Profile

Mark Long is the Systems Engineering Branch Chief for DISA’s DoD Mobility program office. He is responsible for all aspects of Mobility Systems Engineering support including Engineering, Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity, Test and Evaluation, Architecture, and Process. Mr. Long supports the planning, resourcing, and acquisition of commercial capabilities for unclassified and classified mobility solutions as a DISA Enterprise Service. Prior to this position, he served as the Systems Engineering Branch Chief for Global Command and Control Systems – Joint (GCCS-J). He is a retired USAF Communications Officer, whose 20 years of service include 4 years of direct presidential support with the White House Communications Agency and multiple in-theater deployments supporting Operations Southern Watch, Enduring Freedom, and Iraqi Freedom. Mr. Long spent much of his Air Force career supporting Air Operations Centers. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Information Science and a Master’s of Management from Troy University. Mr. Long is Project Management Professional (PMP), DAWIA Systems Planning Research Development and Engineering Level III, and Program Management Level II certified.
