Profile
Jeremy Corey, a technology strategist for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), is the Chief of Cyber Innovations. In this position, he leads a team of talented engineers and scientists in executing technical reconnaissance reviews and assessments of critical and promising cyber technology solutions for existing and future DISA programs supporting defensive cyber operations. Leveraging experience from managing the DoD Public Key Enablement team responsible for supporting the DoD and federal partners in enabling the use of the DoD Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Jeremy is leading the Agency’s Assured Identity initiative for how federal organizations will identify and authenticate people and devices in the evolving mobile environment. Prior to his current assignment, Jeremy served as a subject matter expert in digital forensic investigations and conducted forensic analysis and investigation in support of DISA Office of the Inspector General (OIG) related casework. He crafted an independent, digital forensic team and infrastructure dedicated to leveraging big data analytics of evidence data for attribution in Agency investigations regarding fraud, waste and abuse. Jeremy attended the Johns Hopkins University (JHU) Whiting School of Engineering on a National Security Agency (NSA) scholarship where he earned his Masters of Science in Security Informatics and focused in Digital Forensics. Jeremy has led various information security related-roles in organizations within federal service from 1999 to 2012. Jeremy briefly left public service to partner in a small startup company providing information security professional services from 2007-2008. Jeremy is a Federal CIO Certificate recipient and earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC). He is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
