Dr. Andrew Heo serves as the Chief Cybersecurity Engineer for ITS, LLC., headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He serves as the primary cyber engineering and architectural consultant for the SENSOR program, providing for the sustainment of ground-based systems that support six unique weapon systems in 12 locations under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s System Engineering and Sustainment Integrator (SENSOR) contract. Previously Dr. Heo was the cyberspace operations chair for the National Security Space Institute, Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. There he delivered extensive curriculum to over 800+ Joint students a year who attend Space 200 & 300, the capstone space courses in the Air Force. In addition, he also serves as an individual mobilization augmentee (IMA) for Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), supporting exercises and evaluations. He has worked under Air Combat Command (ACC), Air Force Communications Agency (now known as the Air Force Network Integration Center), and now currently under AFSPC.
Dr. Heo is a previous winner of several Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) awards such as the Young AFCEAn of the Year, the Emerging Leadership Award and the Medal of Merit. He is also a graduate of the AFCEA Leadership Forum. Currently, he is the Regional Young AFCEAn VP for the Great-Plains/Rocky Mountain Region, has previously served as the Young AFCEAn Advisory Council President, and is currently a member of the Board of Directors for AFCEA International. Dr. Heo has also earned several officer of the year awards at the company grade and field grade levels throughout his career, while also being awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and being recognized by Federal Computer Weekly as a “Rising Star” and the Colorado Springs Business Journal as a “40 Under 40” award recipient. In addition, he is a recognized “40 Under 40” recipient from AFCEA International.
Dr. Heo has a Doctor of Management (concentration on Homeland Security/Homeland Defense) from Colorado Technical University, a Master’s in Public Health from American Military University, and a Bachelor’s in Biology from Case Western Reserve University.
