Description

As the Department of Defense (DoD) moves into the implementation phase of the updated cyber workforce requirements, it's essential to equip your team with the step-by-step process needed to meet the impending deadlines. Join us for an interactive session designed to address your specific queries and provide a tailored discussion. We will decipher work roles, how to navigate the marketplace, and provide qualification options from certification bodies and other entities.

The DoD 8140 Qualification Program, which was initiated in February 2023, offers a comprehensive approach to managing cybersecurity workforce talent. It establishes baseline qualification standards aligned with operational requirements and workforce readiness. This program applies to all DoD personnel in cyberspace-related roles, including Service members, DoD civilian employees, contractors, and foreign nationals, in accordance with the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF).

Learning Objectives:

  • Gain an understanding of the fundamentals of DoD 8140
  • Learn how to apply DoDM 8140.03 and how it differs from past versions of the directive
  • Leverage mapping for effective work role alignment
  • Provide a step-by-step process to implementing 8140

This session is designed for managers responsible for implementing job role coding for their workforce and for any DoD personnel, including contractors, who will need to meet the requirements of this directive. Attendees will leave with actionable insights to develop plans and execute the successful implementation of the DoD 8140 directive.
