Profile
Mary currently serves as the Technical Advisor for the Internal Revenue Services’ Knowledge Management and Transfer (KMT) team. She began her career with the IRS in 1994 as a Revenue Officer working in the Northern, VA/DC area. After 7 years in the Field, she spent the next 16 years of her career with the Independent Office of Appeals, first as a Settlement Officer, then as a Technical Advisor to Field Operations, and finally as a Training Coordinator prior to joining the Human Capital Office (HCO) in 2017. It was in HCO that Mary first became aware of the knowledge management program at the IRS. She joined the KMT team in the fall of 2019 and strives to ensure KM tools, resources and practices are employed throughout the Service.
