Continuing Education
Reviewing Organizations
AFCEA’s Continuing Education (CE) program is designed to support certifications related to U.S. Federal Government requirements. Several TechNet Cyber 2022 sessions will be reviewed by CompTIA, GIAC and CertNexus to determine if the sessions meet continuing education requirements for certification maintenance. Sessions may also support (ISC)2, National Contract Management Association (NCMA), Project Management Institute (PMI), GAGAS, and Defense Acquisition Workforce continuing education and/or certification maintenance requirements.
For in-person sessions, formal attendance documentation is a benefit of AFCEA membership and a service provided to attendees who purchased a continuing education (CE) pass for the event. Participation in an event session qualifying for CompTIA CEUs, GIAC CPEs and/or CertNexus CECs is required. On exiting the session, get your event badge scanned so that we can document your attendance.

Leading up to AFCEA TechNet Cyber April 26-28, SIGNAL Media will host four free webinars featuring Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) leaders who will discuss how the agency is working to defeat the adversaries that have taken to cyberspace to conduct continuous confrontations. The mission to protect cyber assets requires more than a single entity—it demands multiple organizations. Some of the webinars have been approved for continuing education.
In conjunction with TechNet Cyber, CompTIA is planning to offer a mini bootcamp, “ Hands-on Data Analytics: Visualizing, Searching, and Reporting Indicators of Compromise,” which is approved for 3 GIAC CPEs and 3 CompTIA CEUs for A+, Network+, Security+, Linux+, Cloud+, PenTest+, CySA+, and CASP+. The three-hour session is scheduled for April 27, 2022 at 1:00 PM Eastern Daylight Time and will be available for viewing at the event and online. Please register in advance at boot camp information and registration.
