Profile

Mr. Argo is the Director of the Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO) in the Defense Information System Agency. DSO is responsible for developing comprehensive and integrated spectrum plans and long term strategies to address current and future needs for global DoD spectrum access. His office provides direct support to Combatant Commanders and Department of Defense (DoD) Components enabling efficient and effective use of the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) and control of EMS environment in support of national security and military objectives.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Argo served as the Assistant Deputy Chief of Staff, G6, C4 Directorate, U.S. Army Forces Command (FORSCOM), Fort Bragg, NC. Before entering the Senior Executive Service, he served at U.S. Africa Command (USAFRICOM) as the Deputy J6, C4 Systems, and the Coalition/Interoperability Division Chief.

Having completed over 31 years of service in the U.S. Army with 18 in Special Operations and Airborne units, his final assignment was as the Outreach and Interagency Director, J9, USAFRICOM. He commanded units at every level including serving as the J6 Director, U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill, A.F.B.

Mr. Argo received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Old Dominion University, Norfolk, VA, and a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from United States Naval War College. He is from Alexandria, VA.
