Caroline Kuharske, as the Deputy Chief Data Officer of the Defense Information System Agency (DISA) serves as the deputy to the Chief Data Officer in leading and influencing the use of data to derive business and operations outcomes in support of the warfighter.

She previously served as Strategic Planner for DISA Operations Center Service Directorate providing leadership guidance to achieve Service Directorate goals for efficiency and standardization. All which led to conducting business operations 40% faster and achieving 15% cost savings. The Service Directorate provides mission services such as telecommunications; computing; cyber operations and mission assurance; and other capabilities that provide support to the Military Services, the Defense agencies, the Intelligence Community and joint and coalition warfighters worldwide.

Prior to that, Caroline has served multiple roles in DISA operations elements such as the DISA Voice Services Operations and Sustainment Chief and Defense Information System Network Monitoring Tools Project Lead. During both roles she was able to find multiple avenues of cost savings that resulted in over $8 million dollars. Mrs. Kuharske focused on consolidating multiple tool efforts to streamline efficiency and effectiveness of DISA resources to allow better resource use in DISA.

Mrs. Kuharske earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Management / Human Resources with a concentration in a behavioral science approach to management in 2014.

Mrs. Kuharske and her husband Jonathan have two sons, Ethan and Wyatt, and reside in Western Maryland.
