Profile

Jason G. Martin is the Defense Information Systems Agency’s component acquisition executive and Acquisition organization director. He conducts acquisition governance and oversight across the entire DISA acquisition portfolio. In this role, his portfolio includes Program Executive Office Cyber, PEO Services, PEO Spectrum, and PEO Transport. Committed to supporting the next generation of cyber defenders, he serves as the agency’s senior lead for academic engagement and strategic partnerships.

Previously, Martin served as the vice director for the Digital Capabilities and Service Center, now known as Acquisition, and the director of the Cyber Development Directorate, now PEO Cyber. In his role, he managed a portfolio of services including perimeter, mid-tier Joint Regional Security Stack, endpoint defensive cyber operational capabilities, cyber situational awareness and NetOps solutions, along with enterprise identity, credential and access management, software defined everything, and zero trust solutions.

Martin also served as the executive of the Services Directorate, now known as the PEO Services. In this position, he was responsible for the Cloud/Compute and Storage portfolio, as well as the operation of DISA’s Ecosystem data centers, providing DOD enterprise services to 4.5 million users. He led mission partner application cloud and data center implementation while operating and maintaining the global DISA internal network for more than 16,000 users.
In addition, he served as the deputy of the Services Directorate and deputy program executive officer for Enterprise Services. In both roles, he served as the senior authority for delivering global and enterprise-wide capabilities to DOD, while providing policy, oversight and guidance to enable government-wide information sharing.

Martin began his federal service career in 2009 as DISA’s customer management executive. Prior to entering federal service, he served as a senior manager for Deloitte Consulting, supporting programs across DOD. He began his career as a software engineer for Electronic Data Systems supporting MCI WorldCom Inc. and General Motors Europe. Martin is a member of the University of Missouri Cybersecurity Industrial Advisory Board. He is also a member of the Project Management Institute and certified as a Project Management Professional. Additionally, Martin is a designated Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act Level III program manager.

He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. Martin also completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University, Kennedy School of Government, in 2013
