MIDN M.J. Middleton, USN

Profile
Midshipman First Class (1/C) Michael Middleton was born in Hamilton, Ohio. He is currently a senior at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) majoring in History and pursuing a minor in Russian. MIDN Middleton’s hobbies include reading, traveling, and bowling but also participates in ultimate frisbee and volleyball at the academy. During his summer training he has been fortunate to intern at the United States Marine Corps History Division, serving as a rifle coach for Plebe Summer at USNA, and attend Leatherneck at The Basic School in Quantico, Virginia. He also studied at the United States Military Academy at West Point for an exchange semester his junior year. He has been actively involved with the Squad with Autonomous Teammates Challenge (SWATC) club, now named Adaptive Rapid Engagement Squadron (ARES) since his freshman year. This club is focused on integrating unmanned systems and electronic warfare into infantry tactics and bringing warfighting to the Brigade of Midshipmen.
