Colonel Voneida assumed command of the Regional Field Command, Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific (DISA PAC) in July 2022. He is responsible for the engineering, operation, defense, and command and control of the Pacific portion of the Department of Defense Information Network. Colonel Voneida directly supports US Pacific Command, US Forces Japan, US Forces Korea, Alaska Command, and Pacific Mission Partners, Service Components, and Agencies.

Colonel Jared C. Voneida, USMC was born in Quantico, VA. He graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and was commissioned in May 1997. He graduated from The Basic School in March 1998 and completed the Communications and Information Systems Officer Course in September 1998 at Marine Corps Base, Quantico, VA.

Colonel Voneida’s academic and professional education include Expeditionary Warfare School (2007); Marine Corps Command and Staff College (2009); the Joint Forces Staff College (2009), Top Level School at the NATO Defense College, Rome, Italy (2017-2018).

Colonel Voneida’s personal decorations include the Legion of Merit Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal 4th Award, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal 3rd Award, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and the Combat Action Ribbon.

Colonel Voneida is married to the former Sara Barnett of San Diego, CA. They have one daughter, Claire (12), and one son, Kenneth John “KJ” (8).
