Description

Competition with China, North Korea, other state and non-state competitors in the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) and cyberspace presents opportunities for increased disruptions at scale and at greater speeds. Government entities seeking to counter threats from adversaries continue to run into challenges via into statutory limitations on collection authorities, a global cybersecurity skills gap, and pace of innovation in the cyberspace domain. Ultimately, achieving cyber dominance in INDOPACOM requires close partnerships between government organizations and industry vendors. These partnerships will enable the US and its allies to close the collection gap, address immediate capability shortfalls, and develop creative solutions for tomorrow’s problems at the speed of innovation. The proposed briefing seeks to frame the current problem, discuss the threats in INDOPACOM from an industry (vendor agnostic) perspective, implications for the U.S. Government, and discuss ways in which vendors can partner with the U.S. Government to help achieve deterrence in the INDOPACOM AOR and contribute to the overall security posture of the United States.
