Profile
William Rabinovich received a B.S. in Physics from the State Univerity of New York at Stony Brook in 1982 and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Physics from Brown University in 1984 and 1987.
From 1987-1989 he was a postdoctoral researcher at the US Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). In 1989, he joined the permanent staff at NRL. In 2000, he became head of the newly formed Photonic Materials and Devices section at NRL. His research interests include semiconductor nanophotonics and free space optical communication.
Dr. Rabinovich is the author of more than 230 papers and 12 patents.
