Profile

Mr. Yuriy Posherstnik is the lead for the Emerging Spectrum Technologies Team at the Defense Information Systems Agency's Defense Spectrum Organization (DSO), where he is informing DoD's development of policies and strategies, enabling emerging spectrum technologies, and shifting the paradigm of how DOD operates within the electromagnetic spectrum. Mr. Posherstnik began working in the DoD spectrum community 13 years ago. As a senior engineer for the US Army Research Development Engineering Command's (RDECOM) Communications Electronics R&D Engineering Center (CERDEC), he led an R&D team to explore dynamic spectrum access, policy-based radio systems, and spectrum access techniques. He also worked with coalition partners to develop interoperability solutions among spectrum management systems. Mr. Posherstnik earned his MS in Electrical Engineering from University of Pennsylvania in 2006, and his BS in Computer Engineering from Rutgers University in 2004.
