Dr. Qinqing (Christine) Zhang has over 20 years of professional experience, as leader and technical contributor, in applied research and advanced technology development for information systems, cyber security, and protection of cyber physical systems. She has worked at Bell Labs, Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, University of Southern California, Information Science Institute, and United Technology Research Center. She has a Ph.D. degree from University of Pennsylvania and over 50 publications and 30 patents.

Dr. Zhang was an Associate Director and Group Leader at United Technologies Research Center (UTRC). She led and directed the research portfolio of Trustworthy Cyber Physical Systems, emphasizing the impacts of cyber security on a broad range of UTC products. UTC has a diversified high-tech business including Collins Aerospace, Pratt and Whitney Engines, Carriers, Controls and Security, and Otis elevators. Nearly all of UTC’s products comprise a cyber-physical system, including elevators, fire and safety, climate control, aircraft engines, landing systems, electric systems, and space systems. Dr. Zhang led the global research team at UTRC and partnered with UTC business units and external research organizations to develop cutting edge research and technologies, and deliver high impact results.
