Profile

Lt. Gen. Eric J. Wesley is from Fullerton, California. He graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1986 and was commissioned as an armor officer in the U.S. Army. He holds a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies through the National War College, and a master’s degree in international relations from Troy State University. Among his many assignments, Eric served two years in the White House on the National Security Council as the director for Afghanistan-Pakistan Policy. He later returned to Afghanistan where he was the director for Future Plans for International Security Assistance Force, Joint Command in Afghanistan. He then served as the deputy commanding general (support) for the 1st Infantry Division followed by duty on the Army staff as the deputy director of Program Analysis and Evaluation for the Army G8 (resource management). Most recently, Eric served as the commanding general, U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence at Fort Benning, Georgia.
