Ruslan L. Davidchack, Ph.D.

Professor of Mathematical Modelling and Computation, Department of Mathematics
University of Leicester

Ruslan L. Davidchack is Professor of Mathematical Modelling and Computation in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. His research interests are in developing computational methods and tools for applications in molecular simulations, nonlinear dynamics and signal processing.

Dr. Davidchack received his undergraduate degree in theoretical condensed matter physics from Lviv University, Ukraine, and a PhD in computational statistical physics from the University of Kansas. He has developed several unique computational approaches and made significant contributions to a variety of fields in computational chemistry, signal processing, mathematics, statistical physics, and biochemistry. Dr. Davidchack has an extensive track record of interdisciplinary collaborations which span academic institutions (e.g. Georgia Tech; UC Berkeley; Oxford, UK; EPFL, Switzerland; NTNU, Norway; KTH, Sweden), national laboratories in the USA (e.g. AFRL, Oak Ridge, Sandia), and UK (Daresbury, Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation), and industrial partners (Tata Steel, Rolls-Royce, GlaxoSmithKline, Procter & Gamble). He has given invited talks at many international conferences in the USA, UK, France, Germany, South Korea, China, and Ukraine.

Dr. Davidchack is a co-inventor of the AVATAR methodology, which provided the initial foundation for the technology of intermittently nonlinear outlier noise mitigation.
