Brian Russell is a fintech executive with a 30+ year track record of delivering trusted innovation to his financial services customers. He is currently Senior Vice President, Head of Enterprise Platform, Identity Management and Authentication at U. S. Bank where he’s responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of the company-wide build out of these core capabilities. He defines the strategy, opportunities and OKR’s for Identity, KYC and Authentication capabilities and his role spans all lines of business and all channels including Digital Mobile and Web, Call Center, Branch and ATM.
He has been a Board Advisor for red violet, a data analytics and identity intelligence leader and Princeton Identity, the identity management company powered by frictionless multimodal biometrics.
Previously he was SVP, Head of Identity Management Capabilities at Wells Fargo and a key member of the Wells Fargo Virtual Capabilities leadership team that drove the firm-wide digital transformation for identity management and authentication. He led a product team of 30+ who defined the strategy, build and managed microservices platform that provides silent identity proofing while delivering outstanding CX for consumers and Small Business
Earlier in his career, Brian was the Executive Director, Identity Verification Strategy at JPMorgan Chase where he architected the IDV platform strategy and was responsible for managing the SaaS service and roadmap for the entire firm.
Mr. Russell was on the executive team at G+D Mobile Security as well as worked at MasterCard Worldwide, Donnelley Marketing, Dun & Bradstreet, and Liberty Mutual Insurance. Brian earned a BA from Colby College in Waterville Maine and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He presently resides in Great Falls Virginia and New York City with his wife and three daughters.
