The Department of Defense updates on Science and Technology activities including Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) projects, the Biometric Enabled Watch List (BEWL) dissemination, mobile capture devices, and the DoD’s Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS).

The Department of Homeland Security is leading efforts to innovate and strengthen its identity management programs, including enhanced security, streamlined processes, and related privacy protections. This session will include the latest updates from the Biometrics Subcommittee of the Homeland Security Advisory Council; DHS Policy’s REAL ID; and the ICE directorates, Enforcement and Removal Operations and Homeland Security Investigations.

The U.S. Department of Justice and Department of the Treasury will share lightning updates on identity efforts underway across their agencies to secure their networks and identify illicit activity.  The agencies will highlight where they are seeing solutions, coordination, and input from industry and other government partners.

The United States Census Bureau will present an overview of 2020 Census operations and progress. The presentation will highlight the privacy safeguards that are in place to protect 2020 Census respondent's confidential information.

Key government leaders will take us through the latest updates from the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) in Federal identity, credentialing, and access management (ICAM), including how OMB’s latest ICAM guidance in OMB Memorandum M-19-17 sets the stage for driving more innovative and secure implementations of identity solutions and shared services.

The Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program offers a dynamic service for agencies to better secure government networks, systems, and data.  The CDM program provides agencies tools to better understand cybersecurity risk across their enterprise – risk that only be properly understood and mitigated through managing identity for various government resources, including data, systems, processes, and workforce.  On this panel, the CDM Program Manager and government and industry stakeholders will discuss the lessons the U.S. government and vendors have learned in CDM Phase II: Manage Accounts for People and Services.

Identity is a common problem for both citizens and federal employees and contractors. The USAccess program provides the shared service to quickly and efficiently on-board federal employees and contractors across federal agencies.  Similarly, Login.gov provides multifactor credentials to citizens looking to access online government resources with over 23M individuals credentialed today.  Join us as leaders and customers of these shared service programs discuss the critical value that shared services across government agencies can bring in enhancing security and efficiency across the Federal enterprise.
