Profile

A senior engineer with over 20 years of public sector and commercial cybersecurity and identity and access management experience. Ross has expertise in the architecture and technical integration of several security domains and capabilities including Identity, Credentials and Access Management (ICAM), Cryptography, Data Protection and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA). Ross is co-chairman of the Federal CISO council Federal ICAM Sub-Committee (ICAMSC) the principal interagency forum for identity management, secure access, authentication, authorization, credentials, privileges, and access lifecycle management. He is the government lead on the Advanced Technology and Research Corporation (ATARC). Identity Management Working Group whose goal is to identify, understand, and provide strategic recommendations for challenges and barriers affecting the broader US Federal Community’s ICAM deployments and offerings, He is a member of the Fast Identity Online (FODO) Alliance Government Deployment Working Group (GDWG) which is focused on accelerating enterprise deployments of phishing-resistant credential solutions by government organizations. Ross is the co-lead on the Federal Mobility Group (FMG) Derived PIV Working Group (DPIVWG) which shares information across federal agencies about industry practices in adopting phishing-resistant authenticators. Ross's helps engineers and agency leaders understand how to identify and prioritize cybersecurity risk and continuously mitigate that risk through a strong focus on identity-centric ZTA.
