Profile

Mr. Tash serves as the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Senior Science and Technology Manager for networks, business systems and fleet support IT, and as the Technical Director for Navy’s Program Executive Office for Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO Digital). He is responsible for strategy development, technical planning, and portfolio integration and improvements. Mr. Tash is also temporarily serving as the Chief Architect in support of the Department of Navy Chief Information Officer (DON CIO).
Before being named the PEO Digital Technical Director in April 2018, Mr. Tash worked in two Chief Engineer roles for the Manpower, Personnel, Training, and Education (MPT&E) portfolio at OPANV N1 and the Naval Enterprise Networks (NEN) portfolio at Program Management Office (PMW 205). As the Chief Engineer in both roles, he led technical transformation efforts, systems engineering, and architecture development.
Prior to joining NAVWARSYSCOM and PMW 205, Mr. Tash worked for seven years at NIWC Atlantic in various research, development, testing, project management, acquisition and resource sponsor roles. His experience includes assignments at the Tactical Networks Program Management Office (PMW 160) and Office of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance (OPNAV N2/N6) where he supported Afloat networks and communications programs and projects.
A native of North Carolina, Mr. Tash graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in computer engineering. After graduation, he started his civil service career with NIWC Atlantic where he also earned a Master of Science degree in systems engineering from Southern Methodist University in 2007. He is Level III certified in engineering and Level II certified in program management by DAU.
