Profile

Alper Kerman, a security engineer and project manager at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE), a part of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is responsible for leading and managing collaborative projects where industry organizations, government agencies, and academic institutions work together to address businesses’ most pressing cybersecurity issues. With over 30 years of experience in IT, spanning software engineering, application security and IT project management in other government agencies and private industry, he currently serves as the technical lead for the NIST/Federal CIO Council collaboration on zero trust and also leads the zero trust demonstration project that began in 2019 at the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE).
