Andrew is a Legislative Assistant to U.S. Senator Roy Blunt. As an advisor, Mr. Lock manages a portfolio of federal policy issues related to technology, telecommunications, data privacy, cybersecurity, intellectual property, commercial aviation and space policy, surveillance law, travel and tourism, consumer protection, manufacturing, and federal science funding. In his work for the Senator, he corresponds with Senate committees and various federal agencies on policy implementation and oversight functions. He is responsible for developing a legislative agenda and drafting legislation.

U.S. Senator Roy Blunt is a sponsor of the Commercial Facial Recognition Privacy Act, which would create a regulatory framework for compliance by vendors of commercial facial recognition technologies, and their end users. The legislation addresses important consumer-facing issues with the implementation of facial recognition technologies in commercial settings, including data privacy and security, transparency, and liability challenges between controllers and processers of these technologies.
