Traditional meeting rooms typically require dedicated AV architecture for each classification level. A room equipped for NIPR Teams, for example, would not be appropriate for a meeting using SIPR VTC. At TechNet Augusta, High Sec Labs is demonstrating how SoundSentry™ changes this model by enabling a single meeting room to support SIPR VTC, SIPR and NIPR Teams, and collaboration across multiple classification levels—using the same room and shared AV equipment.
SoundSentry combines secure technologies to connect and control meeting room infrastructure across multiple security domains while maintaining the isolation and hardware-enforced security required for mission-critical collaboration. The solution incorporates NIAP PP4.0-certified components.
The SoundSentry architecture includes:
- Neous™ Secure Endpoints: provide KVM-over-IP extension between computers and controls/displays and add FIPS 140-3 validated encryption.
- Ultra Mini-Matrix Meeting Room KVM Switch: Enables simultaneous viewing and control of multiple computers on a single display using a single set of controls.
- Videobar Diode: Enables a single videobar to be securely shared across multiple security domains through device emulation and enforced unidirectional data flow.
- Smart Power Ports: Manage power sequencing and provide power only to devices that are allowed in the meeting’s classification level.
- RS-232 Serial Port Switch: Routes RS-232 commands from a single controller to all appropriate devices in the room.
The result: one collaboration space that can support multiple security domains without requiring duplicate AV infrastructure for each domain.
