Profile
CW2 David D. Halfacre is a 170B, Electromagnetic Warfare Technician, and currently serving as the Electromagnetic Warfare Tech for the Acquisition and Technology Division of the Joint Counter Small Unmanned Arial Systems Office. He is responsible for assessing emerging joint C-sUAS technologies to ensure they meet the requirements put forth by DOD Services. A native of Augusta, GA, joined the Army in 2011 as a Satellite Communications Operator/Maintainer. In 2021 he applied for and was accepted to become a Warrant Officer. CW2 Halfacre’s previous assignments were 160th Signal Brigade, Kuwait; 21st Signal Brigade, Fort Detrick, MD; 304th Expeditionary Signal Battalion, ROK; 3ABCT, 4ID, Fort Carson, CO; 8th United States Army, ROK; and most recently 1st Mobile Brigade Combat Team (MBCT), 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Fort Campbell, KY where he supported the Transform in Contact (TiC) transition, Terrestrial Layer System Man Pack (TLS-MP) fielding, multiple sUAS and C-UAS systems, and the distribution of EW Soldiers down to the Infantry Company level.
