Pouria Rad
Graduate Research Assistant
Augusta University
Profile
Pouria Rad is a Ph.D. student at Augusta University’s School of Computer and Cyber Sciences. Advised by Dr. Gianluca Zanella and working in the DFAIR Lab under Dr. Gokila Dorai, he investigates how artificial intelligence can bolster cybersecurity and privacy governance. Pouria’s portfolio ranges from AI-generated spear-phishing defenses and blockchain-enabled sharing-economy models to his current project: an AI decision-support system that maps GDPR violations and fine logic for U.S. courts. He has shared his work at TechNet Augusta, HICSS, AMCIS and ARES, where he earned a Best Paper Award, and serves as the cultural representative of the Computer & Cyber Graduate Student Organization. His goal is to turn cutting-edge research into practical tools that strengthen digital trust and accountability.
