Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Lucas Brown is a forward-thinking technology leader dedicated to driving innovation and transformation across the United States Army. With extensive experience in enterprise technology modernization, LTC Brown has consistently delivered solutions that enhance operational readiness, security, and efficiency for the warfighter.
LTC Brown played a pivotal role in the Army’s migration to Microsoft 365 services, leading efforts to retire the legacy DISA Enterprise Email service and transition to modern cloud-based collaboration tools. His expertise spans Microsoft Azure services—including Microsoft 365, Intune, and Entra ID—where he has contributed to advancing secure and scalable solutions for Army operations. Additionally, LTC Brown has supported the integration of Bring Your Own Approved Device (BYOAD) technologies, such as Azure Virtual Desktop and Intune Mobile Application Management, into the Army’s broader modernization framework.
In recognition of his groundbreaking contributions to Science, Engineering, Acquisition, and Technology, LTC Brown was honored with the 2024 MG Harold Greene Innovation Award. He currently leads modernization initiatives across a range of enterprise technologies, including scaling Apple macOS capabilities, advancing Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) solutions, and spearheading the Army Unified Directory Services (AUDS) initiative. These efforts are designed to improve security, enable seamless movement, and enhance support for the warfighter.
LTC Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Liberty University and a Master’s in Information Technology from Virginia Tech. His leadership philosophy emphasizes innovation, calculated risk-taking, and delivering results that transform the Army’s technological landscape.
Outside of his professional endeavors, LTC Brown enjoys board games, cycling, and exploring Arizona’s rugged terrain in his side-by-side UTV. His personal interests reflect his adventurous spirit and commitment to continuous improvement, both on and off the battlefield.
